Whittaker’s time as the Time Lord is coming to an end, but this series is set to give her a proper goodbye. It bids farewell to its lead in order to introduce a new Doctor and new adventures. But, that’s how this series has thrived for so long. Now, whether the Thirteenth Doctor is your favorite or not, it’s inarguable that Whittaker’s run is historic and it’ll be sad for many to see her go. We’ve come a long way with representation, but there are still people staunchly against any kind of progress, unfortunately.
And, of course, there were fans who hated the idea of the show’s lead being played by a woman. For others, they were reserving judgement.
